New Acquisitions for April 2013

Yea that's what I just found through a quick search, maybe I'll have to put a serbu super shorty on my must have list then [wink]

Picked up a couple lowers this month, Noveske gen1+2 and a BCM. I've spent too much money. [sad2]

The A2 stock kit that came with the BCM will be in the classifieds within the next couple days ($90 shipped hint hint [wink])...

Nice bike. And yes the Mav is one of the best budget shotguns that gets high ratings. Let us know how you like it, I want to get a tax stamp and chop one up.
MA won't allow chopping a shotgun, only a factory original SBS or I would have a Serbu super shorty and have cut a double barrel, sadly. Serbu starts with non virgin receivers so they are verboten too.

Went to an estate sale, some hoarder with a bunch of properties filled floor to ceiling with junk. There were 5 rifles with varying amounts of water damage.
J.C. Higgens Model-50 .30-06 (FN Action)
Mossberg 500 12GA (Black)
High Standard Tube fed .22
M1 Carbine (Alpine)
M1 Garand S.A. (1945 serial)
Paid $50 each.

So far I completely re-parkarized (manganese phosphate) the Carbine. Re-finished the stock. Shoots a ragged hole at 50yds with cast bullets.

M1 Garand is fully stripped and I re-parkerized (zinc phosphate) all the parts other than barrel and receiver. I'm waiting on a CMP stock which I should have in a week or so. I'm sending the Barrelled receiver to Schuff's for a new criterion barrel and parkerizing and a trigger job. I will shoot that in service rifle matches.

This little guy followed me home yesterday a Remington R1S
