New Acquisitions January 2019

Picked this Type 99 up today. I believe it’s a Nagoya Arsenal Type 2 (that’s what I was told) It’s not new by any means but it’s new to me. Any info on it would be much appreciated

That is a second series Nagoya. Early production Nagoya began with the “Zero series” and made 99s until 1945 with the 12th series.

I picked up this MAS36/51 the other day. Appears all original and matching but for the bayonet. Also have an R35 Lebel Carbine on the way which should be here Thursday.

On a more serious note, makes me glad that I found NES before I got my LTC, so that I never had to worry about what was/wasn’t on the “list” - the prices that people are charging for this and the 43X are beyond insane on Armslist, and other means. Like people commonly say here, just have to find the right FFL to avoid the price gouging....last listing I saw was around $1K for this model. Absurd.

Picked up a new CZ host pistol over the weekend. The CZ P10c trigger started of crunchy and broke in nicely. They really are nice pistols for the price point. Urban Grey in case we have to take the fighting to the streets! Pictured here with a my Dead Air Ghost in the the short configuration.

How is that in the hand? The grip is narrower right? Is it more comfortable than a standard grip?

Honestly haven’t had a chance to test it out at the range, just picked it up today, but initial impression I find it more comfortable for my hands, it’s a slimmer/narrower grip so it’s definitely easier to conceal, but at the cost of a max 10 rounds, so no prebans (uses 48 specific magazines and holsters for the 19 won’t fit). I think for me, it will end up replacing my 19 as an EDC because of being easier to conceal. Once I take it to the range, hopefully it functions as reliably as my 19.

I think the only difference from the 43 is the mag capacity. It’s the same slimline grip for both the 43x and 48. The 48 has a longer barrel than the 43x.

The 43X and the 48 both are 10 rounds max, but yeah the regular 43 as you said has a different mag capacity, 6 rounds plus whatever extension you use. I was just comparing the 48 to the original Glock 19 since they are the most similar for comparison. The 48 can’t use the 19 magazines, nor can it use preban mags, have to have its own mags (edit: to the best of my knowledge, haven’t actually tested this, so could be completely wrong)

I handled both a while back when they first came out and liked the 48 but would just carry my 19...decided on the 43X and i love it. perfect size for me. Been carrying it a couple weeks now
