Loooks like I get to start this one. This is actually the last 6 months for me. 1916 Colt Police Positive .38 Special, 1908 M07 Dreyse .32 marked to the Prussian Customs Service, 1901 Brescia M91/93 Carcano Cavalry rebuilt by F.A.T. (Terni) in 1947, and a 1940 337 (Berlin-Lubecker) K98k F-1 post war Norwegian conversion to 30-06.

No picture necessary - it's a Glock 44.

I won a gun in a GSSF match, filed the requrest 11/14. Sent an email in about 10 days ago inquiring if they had an ETA for it by any chance, because I'm shooting another match tomorrow. Got a pleasant response back, telling me that Glock quotes 4 to 6 months on award guns, and the earliest ship date would be mid-March. Sent back a "thank you, and I'm adjusting my expectations". Changed the division from "Rimfire" to "Master-Stock" and forgot about it for now.

Yesterday I got a notice from Fedex that a shipment was on its way and would be here Monday. Shit. Monday? I'm shooting Saturday. Oh well. Got another notice today - gun delivered to my FFL. He's home-based and 20 minutes from my house. Signed up another gun for tomorrow and went and picked it up.

Feels like a light G19. Sort of. See how it shoots tomorrow. I don't think I've ever shot a match without taking the gun to the range beforehand - but - it's a glock, pretty much like the other three glocks I'm shooting tomorrow.

Looks good for 100+ years old.
It's even dialed in now

Ruger-10:22-Trek22.jpg

RUGER 10/22 Model #1261 with 16.12" barrel, installed inside a DesertTech TREK-22 Bullpup Stock

The weight is about 5 pounds as shown and the overall length is slightly longer than 26 inches.

Although the trigger pull is not bad in this configuration; I will be installing a Volquartsen Hammer Kit & Bolt Release (which was a combo special for $27 on eBay)

Update #1 - 02/13/23: I took it to the range today, lots of fun! Was averaging 10 shot groups at under an inch @ 40 feet. Gotta ❤️ .22LR's !

Update #2 - 02/16/23: I installed the Volquartsen Hammer Kit with included Bolt Release. It definitely dropped the trigger weight to about 1/2!

What Generation?
3rd Generation, born in 1998. It's from a run of 100 that Turnbull did in collaboration with Colt from the late '90s through the early 2000's, where they would receive these guns from Colt "in the white" and finish them. They each came with a special "DT" serial number. Here's the description from Turnbull's website:

"This is a limited-edition Colt Single Action Army Revolver, 3rd generation, featuring Turnbull Restoration finishes throughout, and “DT” (for Doug Turnbull) serialization. Only 100 examples were built and finished in the early 2000s.

This example with 5-1/2” barrel features the museum-grade metal polish and finishes for which Turnbull Restoration has been known for 30+ years:

Nice. I have Seven SAA. Two Second Generation General Meade Commemoratives (which I shoot). Four third generations in .45 Colt and 44-40 and a Sheriffs model in 44-40.

Wow, awesome!

I bought three Ubertis over the past year, that I shoot, thinking that I wouldn't bother ponying up the money for a "real" Colt. But I've caved over the past few months and have bought two third gen Colts, this latest one in .45 Colt and a .44 Spec. I probably won't shoot either of those, though, especially this Turnbull one. A fellow NES member kept teasing me with the possibility of selling me one of his very early 1st generations, that was absolutely amazing, but it never happened. That's when I went on this buying spree of the Ubertis and the Colts.

When these were first announced I was ready to sell all my Shadows to get a couple. But then all the delays kind of put me off. That plus the mags aren’t the same as the other 75 variants and I’d either need the grips with thick spacers to run 75 mags or change to all Pseries mags

How do you like it and was it worth the wait?

I don't usually post my purchases but this one is just so....
Like new with original box, manual, spare mag, and factory test target. 1968 Walther PP, German made and no import stamp. A true auction win. And it came with a 69 P38 that show very slight ware but otherwise just as good [smile]
