Hi again! I was active on this forum in the past, and even have a few NES branded AR lowers from a group buy back in 08. Found the forum again after a little break in shooting. Nice to see some familiar names here.

Welcome!Hello gents! Another new guy for you to take pot shots at!
I'm Jim from Central MA. I grew up in Southern CT, spent 20 years in the USAF and then settled down in Central MA 25 years ago. Haven't managed to to move out yet (but considering it in retirement!). 9 of my years in the USAF were spent in Maine (Loring AFB!) so I don't have much time outside of New England at all.
I target shoot for fun. 9mm and 40S&W. I've got rifles and shotguns and just add a Sig MPX to the collection last year. But to be honest, most of my rifle shooting is done with my trusty Marlin-Glenfield Model 60 .22LR that I bought new back in the 1970s.
I'm a member at Marlboro Fish & Game, an NRA Life Members and a member of GOAL.
I keep seeing this site mentioned on Reddit so figured I'd check it out!
Thanks for having me.

Yes, they do! I've been a member there for years and tbh, the only people I ever see go down there are the Junior Rifle Program members.Welcome
MF&G brings back memories, learned to target shoot there, back when I was 10 or so. Do they still have the 22 range under the bqr?
Yeah, NES and Reddit are like two peas in a podHello gents! Another new guy for you to take pot shots at!

Dutchess county region? i do some hunting and target shooting there.Howdy!
Live in the Empire State. But not in NYC, thank God.
I own a Weatherby 20 gauge and a 223 bolt action. And I got a new toy today that's not complete yet.
I read that target shooting is legal in NY state forests and natural management areas.Dutchess county region? i do some hunting and target shooting there.
Yes, very well said!He sounds too intelligent to do so - the very fact that he mentions it shows he's aware of the problem.Of course, the fact that he's logged in HERE shows that he's a man of uncommon intelligence!

i have gone here for organized shoots that they do, bullseye mostly IIRC. I may have done an Appleseed there.I read that target shooting is legal in NY state forests and natural management areas.
Do you know of any south of Albany, east of Binghampton that specifically allow this?

Welcome ! Don't forget to join.Brand new here. NES keeps coming up with good info in my firearms-related web searches, so I figured I’d join and maybe learn more. Forty-year shooter, former LE, mostly retired, and recently getting more interested in collecting. Live in MA.
Done. Thanks for pointer. I hadn’t realized that was a thing.Welcome ! Don't forget to join.
Welcome Edward. You can be a help too, if you join.Hello all,
I'm Edward, I found this site while looking up laws in my state about ccw. I'm from Mass (sadly). I got into guns during my junior year of high school where there was a big anti gun protest at my school that got my attention and I decided not to go to after some research, and now that I have my LTC and a few guns, I'm into precision long range shooting, hunting, and competition shooting. All of which are unfortunately cucked in the state.
