I just heard about a new Gun Range on Kix 100.9...

It's called "The Range and Training Academy"...

It's in Agawam, Ma:

The Range and Training Academy
396 Main Street
Agawam, MA 01001
(413) 353-3511

Webpage is:

http://therangeagawam.com/

From what I heard on the radio and at the website it is "A Ballistically Accurate Firearms Simulator"...

They say that they use real firearms changed to work with their system and the guns are suppose to recoil just like (feel like also) a real gun...

I'm going to take a ride over and see what it's like, I'll let ya all know...

Sounds Interesting...

Hmm, NRA Basic Pistol with "Virtual" shooting . . . no live ammo!

And that is supposed to suffice for CT as well!!

I think simulators are great tools, but unless I just didn't get the memo from NRA Training, BP requires firing real ammo out of a gun. It is pathetic enough that 10 rds suffices to train a newbie and meet NRA requirements, but unless they changed the rules at the NRA annual meeting last week, the advertised training here doesn't meet NRA requirements.

Some place in Quincy used to advertise the same setup. I wonder if it's the same company?
