I am not a 1911 Guru by any stretch but I just thought I would mention that the new Remington 1911 is Ma compliant.
I held one and it is very nice with a very good price. 599
This is not all dolled up, in fact it is close to GI in appearance but it has excellant sites and a very nice short clean trigger pull.
This is a very nice looking basic shooter and will fill the need for many people wanting a traditional 1911 at a price they can afford.
I own several Performance center guns and I am still going to pick one of these up.
It really did feel that good.
I would hve got the one I was holding if it had not just about been sold right out of my hand[laugh]

Where did you see it? Was it a store down on the south shore somewhere?

It was at collectors gallery in stoneham
I am in wareham but do travel to all the local shops

Oh, ok. Thanks. I was hoping for a quick little ride tomorrow to one of the more local places to check one out. I have too much to do to take a long ride tomorrow, but thanks to you at least we all now know what they are actually selling for.

On days that I head into the office, I am within shouting distance of Collectors and FS, so I'll wait for one of those days. If we're lucky, someone down here will get some in to look at soon.

I am glad you found the info helpful, Best of luck.
P.S. I am just so Friggin excited that it is not a damn .380 .......... OOPS! WAS THAT OUT LOAD, sorry

for 599, its pretty cheap for a 1911, will it be better than a para....can only hope so

I do hope that is true for sure but keep in mind that any MFG can fail from time to time as they try to cut cost and stay competetive.
By the way, I love the Avitar. I fell in love with that girl long ago and she is right here in front of me now

I mean we have RIA, para and a couple others for that kinda price range, Im def going to be look at one soon

Also yes shes is my love, but she is quite the devil in disguise

RIA and para where the first too pop in my head. but yea i'll look at those while im at it too.

its gonna be a while still working on getting an AR togeather and maybe another bolt gun. hopefully summer will be the time for me and a 1911 to finally meet

1911'S Are just like Miller. You can't just have one

ive been thinking about the kahr auto ordnance 1911's as they look so much like an old school military issued 45 and the price is reasonable. also i have a pm9 from kahr and really like the quality.

I like the look of the AO ones too, but I also see more reports of them not running well out of the box on various gun forums to give me pause. YMMV.
