The proposal for rezoning is up on the newton town website. Two of the 3 areas proposed are actually high traffic, retail areas. Places like Needham Street and Rt 9 Chestnut Hill areas. It would be a nice FU to open a store on Needham St with big "GUNS" neon sign across from the new "hip" shopping plaza they have there.

That said, one of the proposed zones(Wells Ave) has a school and a small college which means that the zone will be in fact off-limits to gun stores.
