A 1911 I ordered months ago should finally be in my hands within two weeks. Unlike most 1911's it comes with slim grips. I am talking with Carl Wallace about having some custom grips made but I'm unsure which thickness I'd like them cut to; would like to try both sizes out and see which I shoot better with. So would a generous NES member mind if I borrowed a pair of standard thickness 1911 grips (I'd also need standard thickness screws and bushings) for a week or two? Can pick up and return to anyone living anywhere in between the Lakes Region of NH and northeast MA. Thanks.

I think I've got a spare set of grips. I live in Wayland, work in Cambridge and often shoot at Harvard. If that is close enough to you, send me a PM.

I don't know if you will be able to mount these grips on that gun. If it has thin grips, it probably also has thin grip bushings.

Thanks for the offer. Indeed I would also need to borrow standard thickness screws and bushings. I'm like 90% sure I'll prefer the thin grips but I want to be 100% sure before I order.
