How can I order a stock National Match AR-15 with a bull for reasonable money in Massachusetts? I think that 950$ would be acceptable.

The Rock River looks like it would not pass the MA-AWB.

Please advise.

thanks

Rock Rivers can be ordered in AWB versions. While the catalog shows the free-state version, they know there are states where that is still a no go. They still make them with barrels w/o flash suppressors and with FSBs with the bayonet lug milled off.

Call them.

Fulton Armory
White Oak Armory

I have purchased a complete rifle from FA and a nice upper from White Oak.

Not cheap though

Ask the people at AR15sales.com; they can get you the Rock River NM rifle in an AWB-compliant version for about as cheap as anyone. They're in NH, but so far as I know it's legal to buy a rifle there in person for a Mass. resident.

AG Guns in Lowell used to sell the Bushmaster DCM rifle for a really nice price. I don't see it on their web page right now, which may or may not mean anything.

Both of the above were under $1000 a year ago; I think ar15sales.com's prices haven't gone up that much, but lead times were reeeeeeeealy long for a while.

If you want used, this is the time of year when people are selling off their old competition uppers. Expect to pay around $500 for a top-shelf A2 upper from White Oak or similar with 1-2k down the tube, another $200-300 for a lower, and $100 and up for a decent trigger. Best place for that is the classifieds section of the National Match forum: http://www.usrifleteams.com/forums/index.php?act=idx (There's somebody there now selling an RRA NM rifle, new in box, for $1070 delivered to your FFL, but it would probably need AWB-compliance work and ar15sales.com will give you a better deal anyway unless prices have gone up a whole lot.)

The Fulton Armory National Match rifle is about 1 1/2 times what you want to spend but it might be worth a look, depending on what you want it to do.

+1 on amb's advice. ar15sales.com is a good local option for RRA. "Pete in NH" will order a RRA National Match set-up to be AWB compliant for you at a good price, but beware that the manufactuing wait quoted by RRA is around 24 weeks.

if you already have an AR with a decent barrel, you can build it into a NM/DCM gun fairly easily.

DCM-legal freefloat tube is ~ $130 from WOA/CLE
NM rear sight is ~ $125 (i have one available FS if you're interested)
a new front sight post (small) is under $30, cant recall exact price.

no match rifle is going to come with an ideal trigger (although the RRA's arent terrible)...so that's an add-on eventually.

The RRA trigger is excellent for the price. They actually hand refine them... I remember someone touring the RRA facility and describing how they have a few guys who do nothing but make the NM trigger sets. I've never used any of the higher end ones but don't see the need as the RRA is excellent.
