NCL endorses Doug Obey for State Senator

NCL Staff

During the August 24th NCL meeting held at the Medfield Sportsmen's Club the delegates to the NCL voted to endorse Doug Obey for State Senator running against Marian Walsh. The NCL also voted to make a campaign donation through a fund raiser being hosted by the Norwood Republican Town Committee at the home of Debbie Holmwood, 49 Beech Street on September 13 at 6:30PM.

Doug Obey and his campaign manager attended the meeting to ask for the leagues assistance on Election Day to hold signs at various voting locations (Dedham, Norwood, Westwood, Hyde Park, Roslindale, and West Roxbury) from 7:00AM-11:00AM, 11:00AM-4:00PM, and 4:00PM-8:00PM. Several NCL delegates answered the call and some are asking for street signs to be placed at their residences.

On the Issues
Doug is an ardent supporter of the individuals’ right to keep and bear arms as defined in the Second Amendment and has recently applied for his own FID. He also believes in the fundamental right to vote on State initiatives should be upheld unlike our current State Representatives who have ignored our votes and process to vote on the State Income Tax and Marriage question respectively. Doug also believes that our existing laws on Illegal Immigration should be enforced.

Assist with Doug’s Campaign
For further information or to offer assistance to Doug’s campaign directly please visit his website located at:http
://www.dougobey.com/, [email protected] or by calling (781) 329-OBEY (6239).

If your club has endorsed Doug Obey or endorsed other candidates running for office this election year, the NCL would be interested in being notified of such action. Please drop us an e-mail at: [email protected].
