Hey everyone, I just moved to the northshore of mass and was now looking to join a gun club. I am not sure which club to join or where they are. I am looking for an outdoor range where I can shoot target and possibly steel plates as well as an indoor area where I can shoot pistols.

Hey,

You should take a look at Andover Sportsmans Club. If You show up early tomorrow morning you should be able to get a tour of the place. I'd show you around myself but I'm working this weekend : p

Hello -

I am also looking for the best indoor/outdoor range for my tastes in or near the North Shore area. I am primarily a Shotgun and AK enthusiast, so a great outdoor setup is ideal. I have been guested at other ranges that I have really enjoyed (Hopkinton for example), but I haven't toured anything up here yet.

Like the original poster, I am also a Massachusetts LTC A carrier.

Any info/insight would be appreciated.

Cape Ann Sportsman in Gloucester...hastle free, quiet, well maintaimed indoor and outdoor facilities. My AR works great at the 120 plus yd outdoor range.

Mass Rifle in Woburn [smile] Shoot me a PM and I will show you around. The 100/200 yard ranges and 50 yard outdoor range are only accessible after 6 months of being a member or 3 months if you have a sponsor. There is a 50ft outdoor range for pistols up to .45ACP and Rifles up to .22LR that is accessible right when you join. The 25 yard indoor range has no limitations really, unless you have a 50 BMG, which isn't allowed. [laugh] Hell you can even fire full auto guns if you have the proper license. There is an old guy that brings an Mac-11 and PS90 and shoots full auto, it's funny watching people's reaction to it. Let me know what you choose.
