In honor of Buy A Gun Day:

Here's some stuff that I bought recently (and one thing I bought today):

Kahr K40 factory stock. Mean little bugger, but nice and accurate at CCW distances, and really well built and maintained.

It's Waltherpalooza! The carbon fiber P22, which is a great shooter with exceptional ergonomics...

and....

It's big brother, the G22 bullpup rifle. This thing is nothing short of bitchin' in my humble opinion, and once again the ergonomics are top notch.

Smith and Wesson 637 .38 Special +P Airweight. Shoots great, weighs next to nothing, and is easy and comfortable to conceal. Best 340.00 I've spent in quite some time.

H&K P9S 9mm single stack. I've been looking for one of these for quite some time, and it was well worth the wait. Replete with factory two-tone combat sights, German manual, box and extra mag. It also came with a German police duty holster and mag pouch. This gun has the sweetest factory trigger I've ever pulled. H&K pistols: Three down, about 42 to go [smile]

And lastly, I DID participate in BAG day, and although technically it's not a whole gun, I think this should count:

A brandy-new Stag 16.5" flat top upper for my Colt HBAR, with flip up rear sight, bolt and charging handle. Anyone have an Eotech they want to sell? [smile]

Thanks for lookiing!

Jesus Fooped. You are the Man. Well played Sir.

I have a G22; I bought it for my boy. Throw a cheap red dot on it and that's as much fun as you can have with your clothes on. I just wish they made a 100 round drum mag for it. (OH, BTW - good luck when it's time to clean it.)

Oh yeah,

I may just pull the super-rich guy thing (Which I am by no means [grin] ) and sell it once it gets dirty [smile] . Thing looks like a nightmare to take apart. But it's cool, angry looking, tactical and slightly bizarre, hence it's a must-have. I too, yearn for hi-caps for it, but I called Walther, and the mag it takes is proprietary so even if there was a high cap available, the Communists would not allow it. [frown]

Drat.

Ah yes a fine flat top, eotech just came out with a new version of the sight that has a drop compensator in it, put that together with their 4x magnifier and you are ready for almost all occasions. Of course that will set you back about the price of another gun, a really nice gun at that.

Also, I forgot about the H&K.....you suck. Seriously...golf clap.[smile]

The P22 isn't that bad to take apart, especially the 3.5" model. My wife has one and it's a breeze to take apart and clean. When we used the 5" barrel it was a little more of a pain. The biggest pain with the 5" barrle is the set screws would occasionally loosen on the faux muzzle break.

There are some after-market followers that will allow 13 rounds in the P22 as well. I don't think they lock the slide back though.

Ahhh the P22, she's a fun lil' shooter IMO. [wink] (I have the same one [smile] )

Now I was debating over getting a G-22 or a 10/22 only I wonder about the G22s accuracy. Any thoughts?

I shot the G22 yesterday and was hitting clays consistently at 50 yards, so I'd say it's pretty accurate. Plus it's mean looking, and that alone is worth the price of admission. [smile]

Thats what I wanted to hear... I know they are pricey though... what was the ball park price if I may ask?

Mainly cause I know the 10/22 can be found for around $200 for a decent one. but i agree, that is a mean looking squirl killer [smile]

Not pricey at all actually. I paid just over 400.00 for mine with the Walther scope. I'd gladly make a call to the dealer to see if I can get you the same deal. The retail of the gun is 380.00 without the scope, but I'm happy to share the wealth. [smile]

Besides, EVERYBODY has a 10/22 (including me).

mmm... that is not bad at all. and yes I agree... everyone has a 10/22.

I have a little deal going with the wife right now... maybe able to get one in a month or so, so i will surely check back with you [wink]

I think my son would love it (and the wife too). The AR is still a bit much for my wife (although this will help warm her up to it [smile] )

I have that same gun and love it. My father bought it new years back and has since given it to me because I loved it so much [smile] And at the time I could shoot it better than all of the others I tried. I did however send out for the book in english.
