Now that's wat I'm talkin' bout (long range shooting)

The coolest thing about shooting at 1000+ is that the bullet is in flight long enough that you have time to get your eye back behind the scope and see the steel target swing... then a second or two later you hear the "DING"
Then...the giant grin! So f***in cool.
My Brother in Law has a "spot" in North Georgia on the power lines that is nearly perfect. Top of a gentle hill that goes for miles through the pines.

If you get down low next to the shooter, you can often see the bullet arcing up a surprising amount before diving back down at the target.

I'f the shooter is prone I've had the best luck seeing the bullet by standing over the shooter with one foot on each side of him.

I went to the range again this past Sunday morning. I hit the 18in plate at 1410 yards 3 out of 4 shots. I was pumped. BUT, there was no one else there! I am still going to brag about it.

I got certified as an RSO this morning. It's a small way to give back....
