NRA alleges financial difficulties in New York lawsuit.

Baker isn't good, but a pushover that doesnt hate us is a hell of a lot better than an out of control ideologue with 50k+ employees at his disposal.

If Baker gets re-elected (and he won't),
it will be with a smaller margin than
he was elected with in the first place.

And the Donk Legislature will notice this,
and accord him all of the respect he then merits.

That is, even less respect than he gets today;
which is none whatsoever.

Actually, in the remote event there's actually
a Red Wave during the midterms
(or more possible, that the GOP doesn't lose so much ground that the situation flips)
then the national MSM will be licking their wounds the morning after
with the consolation that at least Massachusetts sat it out
and went further to the left.

Baker has no legit challengers so I fully expect him to get re-elected.
Cuomo is a slime ball lib who hates the President, the NRA, guns, gun owners and is trolling the waters for a Presidential run.

Um, Baker is the most popular governor in America... Poll: Charlie Baker remains nation's most popular governor

Luckily, the MA AG has very little actual power as compared to the governor.
Really? The AG can write law and it will be obeyed by the people who control your access to guns from out of state (FFLs).

Maura has an office with a few hundred hack lawyers, and she basically made shit up when she had no authority to do so. Hopefully the courts strike her down, but either way I shudder to imagine what she could do with actual meaningful statutory power and tens of thousands of employees, police, and investigators.

The governor has control over the FLRB, CHSB, State Police, Fish & Game/MassWildlife/EPOs, DCR, EOPSS, and has the ability to introduce legislation and push it via the bully pulpit.

And those are just the agencies that are directly relevant to guns/hunting. We've seen what happens in NY when you have a governor that truly wants to get malevolent. Imagine the weaponization of the Division of Banks and the Division of Insurance to cut off services to NRA/GOAL/Comm2a, DEP sending state inspectors to scrutinize wetlands at ranges, and DOR auditing pro-gun orgs. Imagine DCF developing protocols and inspection regimes for gun-owning parents or parents who have ERPOs filed against them.

Any of those you think Governor Healey ([puke]) would hesitate to do?

Rifles and shotguns are legal to own in NY without FID or LTC. Permits are required for handguns only.

Well, kinda.... given how f***ed up their AWB is there now (SAFE act bullshit) it would be trivially easy for
someone to eat a felony, even vs MA standards.
