Obama’s Futile Tantrum over Gun Bill

You think Obama felt as much like Hitler?

This whole marathon bombing episode that just finished up is a pretty big kick in the nuts for gun control efforts if you ask me.

Here's two people who are basically kids who just kept pretty much every single police officer in Eastern MA and then some - busy for like two days trying to capture them - and in the end the last of the two alive is basically found out by a citizen. From what I'm reading - the guy who owns the boat actually saw the kid in the boat before calling the police.

I had to bring the wife to the airport today - and as we were talking this morning and I was telling her what I reading on the progress - and letting her know that Logan had started searching all cars entering the airport - she made a comment about guns. She's not a huge fan of my gun ownership - but she doesn't typically give me too much crap about it. She made a comment that was something like: "what would your guns do - they're locked up down in the basement" - and I said " well if the guy was reported to be in Chelmsford - at least I can go down in the basement and get one - if I didn't have them at all - we'd pretty much be shit out of luck wouldn't we? The guy is roaming around Watertown if the reports are to be believed - it's entirely possible something like this goes down - and the next one is wandering around our town - and the guy shows up in our backyard trying to evade the cops. That's exactly what is going down right now in Watertown - are you really trying to say that not having a gun would be better?"

I'd be willing to bet you're going to see a huge spike in permit applications and gun buying after this. The cops did a good job - but the fact of the matter is there were no cops around when that guy found the kid in the back of his boat.

Hold on here, don't get all crazy and think that just because there is a armed terrorist running around in your backyard threating to kill everyone and police have said "Well we give up I guess he's gone" should mean you should have the right to defend yourself. Geez, some people and their crazy ideals.

Think about it he has never lost. This is the first time the queen did not get all that was demanded. I think Hari Kari is called for to save face.

F**k him in his pansy poet Socialist ass. The Legislative Branch voted, it didn't go his way. If he'd read the Constitution instead of wiping his ass with it, he'd know that's how things work.

I wouldn't have let the police search my house without a warrant....period. I have the means to protect myself and my family.
I am getting concerned about the ease the LEO's and government have shutting down neighborhoods, restrict driving and search houses.

As someone much wiser than I said in some other thread we are not a democracy we are a representative republic and the system worked the way it was supposed to the tyranny of the many has not violated the rights of the minority. BHO can cry all he wants but that's the beauty of the 3 branches of govt. The other thing in a way it's the Senate's fault for requiring a 60 vote majority to get a bill passed if I understand how the senate rules work.

I can't remember seeing a president whine and blather on like such a tool as I witnessed the other nite. Usually I shut him off any timne he is speaking. But I held my itchy trigger finger on the remote and grit my teeth. He was so mad. Like a little kid getting ready to leave with his ball. I wish he just would.
