I've never owned a shotgun and have only fired about 50 shotgun shells in my life. I just ordered a Remington 870 Express Tactical Magpul edition.
Based on the pictures alone, I'm not a fan of the look of the end of the magazine tube. I don't like the 'nipple' look of it, and I'm going to use a 1-point sling, so I don't need the sling mount at the front of the tube. The tube is a 1-piece, 6-round tube, and based on this setup it doesn't look like an extension is an option. Is the only way to change the end of the tube to remove it all together and install a new tube (with or without an extension)? I'm not aware of a +1 extension that I could use here.
I'm a big fan of the Wilson Combat mag tube look, and like the idea of a tube that's flush to the end of the barrel (minus the tactical choke). If I wanted to go that route, could I remove my tube all together and install that?
I've searched around, but with my limited knowledge of shotguns it's hard to make sense of what I'm finding without asking the specific questions.
