So far Speer Gold Dot and Fed JHP have been the same.

I load the mag up with 8 rounds. I rack the slide and the fricken lip of the bullet catches when sliding up to the breach. If I load only 2-3 rounds in the magazine it loads in fine. When I am shooting, I have never had a jam.

So at the range I can load one into the chamber, drop the mag, load it up with 8 and they all load/shoot fine.

This gun has about 300 FMJ and 150 JHP rounds through it. Anyone else run into this?

Sounds like a magazine problem to me.

I have a 229 that eats anything.

Instead of slingshoting (racking the slide) try locking the slide back insert the mag and use the slide release lever to drive the slide forward. This should work. If it doesn't it seems the extractor is the problem.

Dumb question but... did you clean all the packing grease out of the gun/magazine?

Yea, slide release does the same thing. On all the grease was cleaned off. I've cleaned and lubed the load ramp. I might shoot an e-mail off to Sig and see what they say. Thanks for the input
