A home invasion ended with a trip to the hospital for the alleged intruder and a visit to the police station for the homeowner.

According to sources, it happened shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday night on the 100 block of North Charlotte Street in Pottstown.

Concerned neighbors ran out to witness a man being led away in handcuffs.

Frances Laws, who identified herself as the mother of the handcuffed man, told Eyewitness News, his name is Aaron Laws and he was not arrested but rather taken to the police station for questioning.....

A borough resident who allegedly shot a home intruder late Thursday night was released from police custody after he was apparently taken in for questioning.

Shortly after 2 a.m. Friday, Aaron Laws, his mother, and two others were seen talking to police outside his North Charlotte Street apartment, apparently after Laws was released from police custody.

Aaron Laws was heard saying "I was defending my family" when he was taken in handcuffs by police at the scene.
