that would be awesome and I'm not sure if those were the times when we still had a little more freedom left. You can't do that with a plastic tube and any steel tube that's firing projectile and larger than .50 cal is DD or some other licensed shit. Please tell me it's not true.

No idea...it was along time ago......wouldnt that make spud guns and cannons bad news?

cannons I don't know, I believe that they are DD unless they are signal cannon. Again, I don't remember. I think that I saw someone on NES made one from SS, but then he was in NH ...

Spud-guns are plastic, so there is little issue with firing anything "useful" out of them.
