PBS Piece on Ruby Ridge

PBS recently did a program on Oklahoma City http://www.pbs.org/video/2365951000/ I have it on the DVR, didn't see it yet. I'll have to record Ruby Ridge.

OKLAHOMA CITY traces the events — including the deadly encounters between American citizens and law enforcement at Ruby Ridge and Waco — that led McVeigh to commit the worst act of domestic terrorism in American history. With a virulent strain of anti-government anger still with us, the film is both a cautionary tale and an extremely timely warning.

There are a couple of inaccuracies in that story.
The kid was alone with the dog and one of the marshals shot the dog. He later claimed he was afraid the dog would give away their position as a reason to fire his weapon unprovoked. (Like the shot wouldn't? WTF )
The kid saw some dude in camo shoot his dog out from under him, panicked (He was only 14 ) and fired a shot back , dropped the gun and ran.
He caught so many rounds from the back as he ran , one of his arms was mostly severed.
Harris was the closest one to the sound of the shots and got there to find the kid dead.
It's unclear who fired first in the second encounter but the Marshal was killed and the rest retreated, allowing Harris to recover the boy's body.

They really didn't have a choice about Bo Gritz going up to talk to Weaver.
It was more like , I'd like to see you stop me.

I didn't see this bit:
Justice Department officials launched their own investigation. A 542-page report was completed earlier this year that recommended possible criminal prosecution of federal officials and found that the rules of engagement “contravened the Constitution of the United States.” Yet Deval Patrick, assistant ttorney general for civil rights, rejected the findings last month and concluded that the federal agents had not used excessive force.

****ing POS

I don't know what exactly the rules of Wikipedia are, but shouldn't there be a record why certain edits are taken out? I know that it could be a process with Wiki old timers being *******s, but still, I wander who the hell is driving this effort to white wash this info.

In an Oct. 15 memorandum, Deval Patrick, the Assistant Attorney General in charge of the civil rights division, said that when the sharpshooter fired the fatal shot, the agents had a reasonable belief that their lives were in danger. Agents had not intentionally used excessive force, the memorandum said.

I know little about computers and tracking the edits on wiki and it appears that all information only comes from one IP?

Thanks, I've read a few books on the topic, would be nice to see some video/interviews.

For those younger among us:

Ruby Ridge is where the Weaver family standoff occurred. It started over a sawed off shotgun, specifically a gun that an undercover agent bought from Randy and then asked him to cut it down shorter as he 'didn't have the tools'. Randy was unsure how short it could be cut and the agent said 'Don't worry - I know the law'. He cut it and was then told by the agent he was guilty - Randy said he'd take it to court. Randy received the papers on when the court date was - these papers showed the wrong date. The BATFE of course had the correct date and moved in.

Weaver received prison time for missing the original court date and a $10K fine. Later he and his family sued the Feds and won $3.1M.

I plan to watch the show.

The Hollywood commies in conjunction, the msm and the Democrat party are pushing the white nationwide, white separatist narrative now. Just recently on "Ransom" they had a white separatist theme. The agenda now looks like it will be to connect Donald Trump to white supremacists and neonazis.

Well just remind the moonbats that Hitler was a socialist

Virulent, possibly and certain serotypes are quite justified.

Makes sense. They've had this whole concept simmering for a while now. They've already conflated libertarians, people who believe in the constitution, and anyone who advocates self sufficiency and smaller government with white supremacists, now they're running with it.

it must have have been sheer coincidence that when the whole ghost gun news frenzy was going on that the NCIS LA show had some bad guy milling 80% lower ghost guns, they got those key words into the the script. Funny how navy investigators would be doing BATFE's job. Hollywood plays stupid people like fiddles.

Well just remind the moonbats that Hitler was a socialist
a national socialist who advocates for his people is a good thing. National socialism works in a homogenous society. Bolshevik socialists who were not of the people, but were in essence foreign invaders is a bad thing.

Are you sure about that? That seems to be the argument today-who exactly fits the definition of the "people?". There was some sort of test-like today-if you are not a liberal then you a racist zenophobe. Social pressure to ensure conformity. Much the same as Hitler did with oaths

in terms of America, the people would be the working class that pulls the wagon and keeps the country going, not the EBT class, political elites or the hordes of turd worlders clamoring at the gates.

Best thing about Ruby Ridge. . . . .

9 out of 10 conservatives and 11 out of 10 gun show attendees blame Clinton and Reno for it. Even though they weren't even in office at the time.
