Can any PFG member expand on the use of the PFG action pits, including rules of use and restrictions. I'm considering membership but wanted clarification on the action pits.
i can be more specific if someone can reply. thanks in advance

It would be easier to answer to a specific question. Clarification of a vague question gets vague answers.

OK.
1. How many shooters can use action pit at once barring there is an established firing line and noone down range.
2. is it restricted to pistol or can carbine caliber (.223) be used in them.
3. i know holster draw is ok, but is shooting and movement OK as well
4. do i "own" the pit until i am done shooting even if someone else shows up. ie first come, first serve until finished
feel free to add additional pertinenet info i may not have asked.
thanks

To questions 1 &2:
They have Appleseed events in the action pits, there were 20 people on the firing line shooting .22, .223, .308

However, I'm not sure if Appleseed gets special considerations...

1. More than 1 shooter may use a pit at one time, but only one active shooter at a time.
2. Rifles, pistols and full auto are allowed in the pits.
3. Shooting on the move is allowed.
4. All shooters sharing a pit must use a common firing line.

NHTAG will be starting their Monday evening sessions on the 24th. A very different flavor of action pistol training.

Thanks guys. thanks wmccurdy. i did TAG once and really enjoyed it and will be getting back into it again this year. my current club does not allow for anything but static shooting from distances no closer than 25 ft. on pistol ranges. Most of my training has been in combat pistol style not bullseye NRA and i have had zero success in implementing this type of shooting. I have heard great things about PFG and just wanted a little more info. THanks for the help.

1: Multi Shooters can use pit and multi shooters can shoot @ the same time is on a common firing line.
2: No known Caliber restrictions
3: Holster Draw is fine, as is shooting on the move
4: For the most part you will have the pit until you are done, unless there is a scheduled event, in which case you may be asked to move.

thanks abundigas. sounds like a great place and good people. now how the heck do i go about getting a sponsor, cause i dont personally know anyone at the club!
