Depends on the purpose, Shield is a great carry choice. My SR9c is literally the only gun i have ever owned in my entire life that has never ever not even once malfunctioned.

Not counting revolvers.

This. If you look around, you can find some steals. I got mine for $350 with a stipple job, 3 mags, a streamlight and a holster. With the Gregg Derr trigger job it came to $435.
