Does anyone own one of these? Walther has a good name and has been around for a long time. I know P22's are picky with ammo but are PK380s also very picky? I have a Ruger SR9c that I carry but I want a .380 just to have one, call me crazy. Eventually I want a 1911 too but the Ruger SR1911 is in too high of a demand to even try to get one. From what I have read on other forums the PK380 is a very good gun for the price and is lightweight. Any info would be appreciated. I don't want a Bodyguard either, those are way too small for my big hands. Thanks!

I'm not a fan of the .380 but I suppose it's slightly better than a sharp stick. I'm just curious to know why you want such a large gun in .380? I too have large hands and don't care for tiny guns. In a gun the size of the PK380 you could get a 9mm, .40 0r .45.

I was thinking of having a .380 just to have one. My dad has a m1934 Beretta but I wanted a newer .380. After all these posts I am rethinking my idea and maybe going for a .45 now.

I buy some guns for the same reason. I just see one I like and buy it just to own it and my 380 was one of those guns. I also ended up loving it and shoot it often.

I got the Sig p238 Rainbow edition. It's a beautiful gun and basically is like a mini 1911 without the grip safety. Little pricey being a Sig but one of my favorites and it shoots great.

I shot a p238 rainbow edition at my gun club. Some old guy let me shoot it and I was impressed. But the price is a bit steep for me to just "buy it for the sake of having a .380." Nice gun though.

If you're looking for a .380 just to have try a walther ppk in .380. If you're in MA they blued and stainless are compliant. That is what I would get if I had crossed off all of my initial purchases for guns off my list already. The 2 I have left have a specific reason why I want them and after that I will probably buy something just to have.

My girlfriend has a PK 380. I bought it for her, after she shot my Glocks, J Frame, and couple other pistols. It just fits comfortably in her hands, and she wanted something to have some fun at the range with. We have put at least 750 rounds through it( all good ammo), and have never had a failure, of any kind. I don't like the fact that you need a takedown tool to clean it, but it is what it is. Other than that, I think it's a rather big gun, for a .380, to carry. If I am going to carry a gun that large, it's going to be at least a 9mm. This is just my opinion of course.

+1 on the Sig p232

My wife just got one and we both really like it. We would have preferred something very similar in 9mm, but the caliber was the only real downside on the gun (in our opinions). Some people don't like the euro mag release, but you get used to it pretty quick.

She also looked at the PPK/S, but didn't like the de-cocker safety. The Sig doesn't have a safety (de-cocker only).
