Four small pieces of 2x6, a few screws and some pieces of strapping work fine for a cardboard/paper stand.
|=| - base from 2x6 (looking from the top), stick the strapping inside the "=" sign. Done.
If you're not mechanically inclined, those ones you linked work real well.
