I have a PM9 and absolutely love it very light and accurate. The only thing that I don't like which I am sure others would agree is the very long trigger pull. I was wondering if anyone has had one done and could point me in the right direction.

I enjoy using the Kahr trigger -it reminds nme of a very smooth and light DA revolver trigger. The Kahr trigger has a long reset much like a revolver trigger.

I shot a MA compliant PM9. It was a long but very smooth trigger. If they were cheaper and my hands weren't so large I'd pick one up in a heartbeat. I'd prefer a non-mass one without the ass-backwards safety though.

If you've ever looked at the way the Kahr pistols work, there's really nothing to be done to affect the length of the trigger pull. The weight could theoretically be affected by replacing the trigger return or striker springs, though.

It is a very long pull, but at least on mine it breaks pretty clean. My biggest complaint is the magazines. I'm not a huge fan of them. Although I'm not running into problems, I think they are less than ideal.

What about them don't you like?

And as Atmay said, not much can be done though Kahr does have a trigger package available if you send it back to them.

Amen to that. My fiancee carries one and being a 1911 guy I can never get that safety down. Who in their right mind would design a backwards safety?

I'm ok with the trigger. It is a bit longer than some of my other pistols, but I don't have any issue with it as it does break rather clean.

As for the mags. I just don't think they are the most ideal mags. I've noticed an issue that if I have a full mag plus one in the chamber and release the mag the top round is almost halfway out of the feed lip or in some cases will be completely out, then fall out of the mag well. This has happened a few times now.

Also I find it very strange that buying a promag (which I do not associate with high quality) fixes the whole not being able to chamber the first round by racking the slide.

Ah, yes, I've noticed that as well though as a practical matter, it hasn't been a problem for me.

I'll have to try a Promag in the thing.

To be clear, I don't think Promags are good. But it did however fix the racking the slide to charge the gun issue. ( which furthers my belief that Kahr mags need some work)

I've not had any issues with the mags causing malfunctions but it just bothers me, and I'm not really comfortable betting my life on this gun as it stands...Which stinks because that gun was bought to be a new carry gun. I may end up looking for a new one.

If Wilson Combat made mags for this gun, I would be one happy boy.

I can see you are a 1911 guy, stuck on safeties.

Otherwise you would have realized that a double action handgun does not need a manual safety, that such a safety was placed there by Kahr to appease your retarded laws, and that the common sense thing to do is to leave the gun off safe 100% of the time.

Free-state Kahrs do not have them.
