Hi,

I carry a Glock 21 .45 and a Benchmade knife, but feel the need for a pocket pistol as a backup. I am thinking of something small that would fit in a pocket holster. What do you guys think? Maybe a .25 or a .32 auto? Please send me your suggestions as you guys have a TON of knowledge.

Let me know what you think!

Thanks,

Will

Kel-Tec PF-9, small and lightweight but still uses a 9mm catridge.

+1. That thing is thin - 0.88 inches thin and weighs 12.7 ounces unloaded. Hard to beat 8 rounds of 9mm in something that small and light - and MSRP is $333. Some online stores have them for almost a c-note cheaper than that too.

I've used the S&W airweight, the Keltec P3AT and the Kahr 9mm. The Keltec is the smallest and quite accurate, the S&W kicks the hardest and the Kahr 9mm gives you the most firepower. I carry a Kahr P45 and love it.

If you want to save some coin on a BUG, an FIE Titan is a nifty .25acp. Many times you can find one for under $75. You may have to do a little tuning with a jewler's file, but they can be very reliable.

Mine is in my pocket in a #1 Uncle Mikes all the time. Eight shots with one up, safety off and quarter cock.

Last timed draw from pocket to eight shots on paper at twenty one feet - 4.2seconds.

too bad they aren't available in MA.

He could probably find one in MA if he looked hard enough. I've probably inadvertently seen several in my travels, but I don't even look at the junkers/SNS type guns real close. That's the kind of gun that's been out forever so I'm sure there are some papered exempt used ones out there.
