Post/text toolbar greyed out??

I just noticed I can’t format the text of my posts, attach emojis, gifs etc. That whole toolbar is greyed out and I cannot click on any of it.

Any advice?

I had that problem and had to click the 3 dots in the picture and click the square brackets. That let me do everything again.

The javascript powering the editor is being disabled/blocked by something - an adblocker, noscript, some privacy addon, etc. You'll need to figure out what that is and make an exception for this site.

Ahh that's probably not the case, then. There is something going on similar to what Marty suggested up top. One of the icons should be highlighted and is holding you back.

Worst case if you clear your cache/cookies, it should fix itself.

The editor will get locked out if you're in preview mode. So if you've accidentally clicked on the preview icon, you have to click back on the left side of the editing toolbar to get out of preview mode.

It's what those buttons do for you.

[u]underline[/u]
[i]italic[/i]
[s]strikethrough[/s]
[url="your URL here"]link name[/url]

Etc.

I used the "code" option to show how those would be typed in, so that it doesn't apply the code to the example. Just use the square brackets to start, and / to end.
