Thinning the herd... Likely will regret this but here it goes
For sale is the following Colt package (sold ONLY as package).
- a 1972-73 era Colt AR-15 A2 H-BAR Sporter (S/N SP-238###) - slabside lower (OMG---NO sear block!! The horrors!) - A2 stock (with rack markings still visible), A2 upper (fixed carry handle wiht adjustable sights), bbl marked CMP 5.56 NATO 1/7 HBAR, has fixed front sight and FH and BL. Colt BCG. This is the set up our Warriors were issued and were qualifying - maybe even engaging - targets out to 600 yds with open sights.
- a complete 2nd Colt upper - M4ish in pre ban configuration- A2 upper with fixed carry handle, a second Colt BCG, M4 cut bbl marked CMP 5.56 NATO 1/7 w/BL and FH.
- will throw in a 6 position stock TUBE - unk brand
- just added - found a new Rainier Arms stripped flat top upper to throw in as well
OK, before anyone gets the magnifying glass out to tell me that there's blems... understand this is a USED rifle that has been SHOT!!! I've slept fine for the last decade or so knowing that there are blems on the stock and minor surface blems on the metal. It's called character and the gun was used for what it was designed for -- to shoot. It's what every CNC machine cranking out lowers today used as a standard.
Having this baby in your safe may even cure your insomnia. Colt's are so naughty that some 'Merican's can't own them... be a naughty little non-insomniac and snatch this baby up.
BTW - please don't ask round count - I don't know. I got both used, they shoot great. I know I've put less than 300 through each of them (have other ones I shoot more)
Price is $3000 cash, FTF via eFA-10 in WMass (Amherst area). I'm usually a trade addict but don't really need anything and have to clear room in safe and prove to wife I'm capable of recouping some $$$ (but since I have no control... liking Holosun handgun optics and intrigued by FN Reflex).
Statement of Legal compliance:
I will comply with all Federal and State Laws. If the firearm is to be shipped, you must provide me with a signed copy of your dealer's FFL (or your 03FFL if this is a Curio and Relic). For private party face-to-face transactions (only permitted by Fed law when both buyer and seller live in same state), I will meet all applicable state and federal laws.
