A friend of my father just inherited a Pre Ban AR 15 Colt Sporter Lightweight and needless to say i am extremely willing to take it off of his hands, he is a close friend of ours and i would like to get him what he deserves (he is obviously going to give me a good deal as he in not only not an LTCA but not even and FID guy) i have the Gun Digest and have searched online but have found no posts on gun broker or anywhere from MA.

PS he also has 1 30 and 1 40 rd mag...how much would those go for?

Under $1,000 is a steal.

$1,200 is fair.

$1,500 or more is waaaay too much.

The mags are pretty much "I'll throw them in for free" kind of deal.

$12.00 - $15.00 for the 30 rounder (if USGI). The 40 rounder is an aftermarket piece of crap (probably USA).
