Pre Ban info

I have a pre ban XM15A1 RIA rifle that shoots and functions good, with triangle grips, iron sights, 20'' barrel, and old style butt stock with cleaning kit compartment, I cannot find any info on Rock Island Armory AR's, all I know I they were made in the mid 80's beyond that I know nothing. Anyone that has any info on these I would greatly appreciate it if you would enlighten me about it. Thanks

No I asked if the asking price was fair and everyone seem to think it was, I was just trying to find out some info.

Yes, I now own it (the price seemed fair enough) I was just wanting to se if anyone has ever seen these and is the any info out there on RIA AR's

Armscor bought Rock Island Armory. I don't think they make AR platform rifles any more.

I checked the link and on the "Heritage" section it talks about acquiring RIA but only mentions their 1911 pistols, and I couldn't find any serial # database.

I don't think they made them for very long and I haven't seen very many around. If you call or email Armscor with your S/N they might be able to tell you something.
