Pre-ban large capacity magazine in a post-ban rifle?

Is it legal to use a pre-ban large capacity magazine in a post-ban AR or other rifle?

I searched here and the MGL's and didn't see anything on this. But I've "heard it" around the interwebs...

Yes. It is perfectly legal. The only time the age of the firearm is relevant is WRT AWB "evil" features.

Pre-ban high capacity mags can be used in whatever firearm they will fit, regardless of the age of said firearm.

Just keep in mind that you need a Class B or better to possess the mag even it is preban and the even if the rifle is an FID gun.

Yup. You also need a Class A to possess a rifle mag that's specifically marked/manufactured for use in a pistol platform (common with AR pistols), even if it's pre-ban.
