Had this posted in the rifle match section, but it disappeared for some reason. Reposting here as I don't think the rifle comp section gets many visits. We currently have 10 slots open.
PRECISION RIFLE MATCH:
The Granby Bow & Gun Club's Precision Rifle League will be hosting our first PRS (precision rifle series) type match on Sunday August 21, 2016. These matches will likely start running monthly on the 3rd Sunday of the month.
MATCH DETAILS:
Date: Sunday August 21, 2016
Address: 85 Chicopee Street, Granby, MA
Shooter Check-In Starts @ 8:15am
Shooter's Meeting @ 9:00am
Match Starts @ 9:30am
Match Fee: $40
Round Count: 80 -100 (minimum)
# of Shooters: Match is limited to 20 shooters (we may expand this in future matches).
**Preregistration w/ Match Fee Payment Required: To register for the match, shooter's must email the match director, Nick Weidhaas, at [email protected] indicating you want to shoot the match on Sunday 08/21. I will email you indicating that you are in the match or on the wait list. If you are told you are in the match you will have 24 hrs to pay the match fee of $40 via paypal. Use the paypal email; [email protected]. Failure to pay will result in you being dropped from the match. In the memo field, indicate you are paying the 8/21 PR Match Fee. **MATCH FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE unless we cancel the match. Wait listed shooters will be contacted if slots open.
Shooters will be challenged in approximately 8 stages with targets from 25 to 1025 yards. Paper and steel targets will be engaged from various shooting positions under time constraints. This is a points match based on hits/misses. Match will require a moderate level of physical exertion.
Minimum Equipment Needed To Participate: Ear/Eye Protection, precision rifle capable of holding 1 moa. Match quality ammunition. An optic with repeatable target/tactical type elevation / windage turrets and a reticle that can be used for hold-overs / unders and wind holds. Rifle sling.
