Old school Metal Lathe. Don't have any details on it, but its up for grabs.
My wifes Grandfather was a ships mechanic on a WWII Mine Sweeper. Came home purchased a Life raft off a decommission Tug that helped stage the invasion of Normandy. Converted into a family boat.
He never purchased anything, if it was made of metal, he made it himself. Was a impressive man. He passed away many years ago.
The lathe isn't going to get used by anyone in the family. So we will like to see it moved on to someone that might restore it.
if you're just interested in the scrape price, PLEASE, move on. We would have scrapped it ourselves, but would rather see it get a new life.
If you or someone you know would like to give it a new home. Please let me know.
I have a friend that I believe that is getting it posted up on a new england machinest forum of some kind, but I wasn't sure if someone here would want it.
