I picked this up at the Marlborough gun show Saturday. After stripping it down for cleaning and inspection, it appears to be 100% correct. The one marking I can't find anything about is a CL in red grease pencil written on the inside of the stock by the front receiver screw. I'm guessing it's just an inspector mark but can't find anything on line that describes it. Thanks in advance for any info

i have done a lot more searching on this and have come up empty handed. My guess is that it might be a previous owners initials or maybe gun dealer marked. Does anyone know if collectors in Chelmsford marks his guns. That's who I got it from

Sorry can't help, but you may want to post in the Milsurps forum. Folks who might know hang out there.
