I dont quite see it as a de-escalation

From the video the guy wasnt threatening anyone with a gun

He put it down and faced popo with open hands, palms towards popo and didnt alter that non threatening posture

We have no idea what was said because the video has no audio but I cant see a justification in any way, shape or form for hitting him with a tazer instead of the FIVE police officers simply cuffing him

He was closer to the gun than they were.
