Now that I have a steady job since last summer, I added a few pieces to my collection. In order from the summer...
1916 Colt Police Positive Special (turns out I bought this back from the NES member I sold it to years ago) In my current plain clothes armed security position I carry either my S/W 2.0 M&P 9mm, or a 38 special...this or my 1937 Colt Detective Special.
1908 M07 Dreyse 32acp. Marked to the Prussian Customs service. Had it overhauled and new springs, but it doesn't feed reliably; 3 rounds max before jamming. Maybe a good new mag will help. NES find.
1901 Brescia M91/93 Carcano Cavalry Carbine. Rebuilt by F.A.T. in 1947. Actually, for once, a Carcano that shoots good. RTI, $175
1940 337 (Berlin-Lubecker) K98k F-1, Post War Norwegian conversion to 30-06. My hedge when 8mm gets too hard to find...30-06 will always be around. Got this through 3 degrees of friends. Lubeck is in the German provence of Holstein. Before WWI it was Schleswig-Holstein, and my grandfather was born in upper Schleswig, Jutland, in 1909. In 1922 Upper and lower Schleswig went back to Denmark.
Just a couple left on my list...a Danish Krag and a Brown Bess.
