Red spots on new LCR W/Pic

Look towards the bottom. There are some red spots that I noticed during cleaning. New LCR, got it Saturday.

It's just surface rust. Should wipe right off.

It can be. Maybe some moisture from humidity settled on it. No big deal. Just clean it up with some Hoppes.

Chances are it could have just been some left over metal flakes from tooling. Soak a rag in Hoppes or something like that and wipe it down. Inspect it to see if it's a flaw in the coating. If it is a flaw, you should have a legitimate gripe should you choose to bring it back.

What ammo have you been shooting? Anything with primer sealer? can't tell from the round in your hand whether or not it has primer sealer on it.

It looks like you're shooting ammo with a primer sealer. This stuff gets blown off and sticks around. No big deal.

Isn't it kind of low for primer sealer, no?

Looks like a defect in the finish to me, I would take it back to the dealer and let them check it out.
