Reminder PFD's Required for Paddling

PFD's are required starting today thru May 15th if paddling in Massachusetts waters. It's a $100 fine IIRC.

PFDs on the water is always a good idea anyway.

Is the requirement that you have to wear it, or have it onboard?
I remember sailing when I was younger, and the coast guard would roll up on us. Our PFDs were stowed below. We just had to dig them out and show them. LOL. Not that they would have done us any good if we actually needed them.

Now, I won't get on the water without wearing one. Even if it's just on a paddle board on a small pond/lake.
