Yes. As with much made in Russia, what you get is largely dependent on who made it and how much vodka they had with their lunch.
At one time, I could have showed you 4 different SPR-453's with varying levels of fit, finish and overall quality. At another time, I could have shown you 5 Spartans that were much the same way. We had one SPR-453 come in that was literally impossible to put together and had to send it back. Another, which assembled fine, looked fine, but would not fire. This, while at least two regular customers gush at what nice shotguns they purchased, (one Spartan one SPR). One of my fellow employees has an older Balkai rifle/shotgun combo which he insists is his favorite firearm. if you decide to go this route, inspect the shotgun thoroughly and realize that the value in these guns comes from the cheap labor and perhaps cheaper manufacturing processes used to produce them. You may buy one that is a gem, you may buy one that is a head-smash-festival....
