Remington V3 Shotgun availability

I've been waiting for the V3, and it seems they may be attempting to first purge some Versa Max inventory, as there have been some really good deals on them. I picked up a Tactical for less than $900.

I recall there being a November '15 release projected.

Good point. That approach makes sense, especially if they were running late with a release. Give some healthy year end discounts to boost sales, clear out existing stock and then sell the V3 for 2016 with a splash in January. I'm not in a rush so hopefully they announce availability next month. Thanks!

"I mentioned this a short while back on my website. I'll re-mention it here:

I received a phone call from Remington yesterday, November 12, and here is the latest information. The long-awaited Remington V3 autoloader has been finalized and has been in production in Ilion, New York.

The V3 is being released, in quantity, in January 2016. Four models (sku numbers) are initially released: the 26 and 28 inch black synthetic and the 26 and 28 inch synthetic camo. The walnut version is not being released in January, but is scheduled to follow mid-year 2016."

Pupchow thanks for the info. It figures that the one I want (the walnut version) will be late but I guess it gives me time to save my pennies [grin]

Mursenary4, I haven't investigate the Beretta A300 Outlander so I can't comment. The V3 was hitting it on all cylinders for me (semi-auto, less components, easy dis-assembly, reduced weight, more manageable recoil, price). Looking at Cabela's it appears the A300 is a little less expensive but I'm willing to pony up more for these features if the V3 is all they say it is.

I'd rather have a Remington 1100 or 11/87 with 30-40 years of parts and debugging than a new design from Remington right now. I'd let someone else debug the gun and see if the design is going to stick around.

Let the wife try some clays with my Versa Max Tactical not long ago. She mentioned it being heavy, but was otherwise fine with it. Yesterday, I let her try my 20ga Ithaca Ultra Featherlight, with some high brass #6. She did NOT like the recoil. I'm thinking of picking up the V3 with 26" barrel. If she likes it, fine. If she doesn't, mine.
