Remmy 870 recoil pad questions

I am looking to shorten the overal length of my 870 and the recoil pad seems like the best way to do it right now. I have a speedfed pistol grip stock on it right now and can not see of anyway to cut that down. Just looking to get maybe an inch shorter. Anyone have ideas? Can you purchase just a short recoil pad?

Do you have a recoil pad spacer you can remove? Certainly you could take a pad and cut it down, not sure how it would look...

Yeah this may be what has to happen. Think I can do without the recoil reduction though.

I needed to decrease the LOP on a shotgun some years ago, and had the shotgun pad replaced with a rifle pad, which was a good bit thinner. I don't think you'll be able to get a full inch decrease, but you might get half of that or a bit more. Or you could get rid of the pad altogether and just go with a buttplate if your shoulder can take the strain.
