They already did that years ago outside of some blue label SKUs because of shelf rot. Its not fair to consumers if they get a gun with NS in it where the Tritium has been burning off for 2 years before you bought the gun.

I bet Glock will continue to make the Gen5 .40 variants at least for a while unless those are on the list.

.40 isn't going anywhere, although there's definitely a huge decrease in new .40's being made and sold. The installed base of guns is still gigantic.
