im looking for a new 40 cal, so far the only things i have found that interest me are the sig 226, and the S&W 4006, and 410. obviously if i wasnt a college student i would go for the sig but its just way too much money. that is why im looking for something that has a safety/decocker, which is in a good price range and reliable for either target or carry.

I own a S&W 410 very reliable no problems at all . Only thing i did was change the plastic guide rod out with the metal one from the 4006. Also i put crimson trace laser grips on it and carry it as ccw. Price was right and would not hesitate to buy one again. Very well made gun.

I had a S&W similar to the model you are talking about, may have even been the 410. Its grey w/ black grips, single stack mag. Hated it. If you put 3 quick rounds thru it the slide jambed on a shell that wouldn't exit all the way. Sent it to S&W 3 times and they couldn't solve it. Got rid of it and got a Sig P229, its .40 in double stack w/ the trijicon night sights. Gun is awesome. Save your money and get a Sig or a better S&W like the M&P or 1911.

If it was a single stack it wasnt a 410.

410 are double stack 10 rds

411 are double stack 11 rds

411 been around a long time

410 was the mass compliant version 10rds of the 411
