I’m looking for some recommendations for rifle classes. Optimally I’d like to get better at basics and go from there. I have heard from some people that the basic class at Sig was a waste of time and too basic. Please give me your suggestions.

I recently took the Rifle Skill Builder class form Paladin Group Training - I'm signed up for the Rifle 1.0 class this month!
Check them out

Go to an Appleseed. That'll get you up to speed pretty quick. Bunch of events being scheduled for Patriots Day. Check it out. Fundamentals, fundamentals, fundamentals.

Take the basic sig rifle course. If the material is easy and class isn't as dense you have more opportunity for directed questions. You usually don't lose a fight because you trained too much.

We offer a two-hour Rifle Skill Builder class that should suit your needs. Small class size (6 students with 2 instructors) covering fundamentals of shooting the defensive rifle. This is not a "this is a rifle and how it works class" (though rifle controls will be covered). It's focused on getting you skills you can put into practice right away, prepping you for our Defensive Rifle 1.0 class.
