A true character and all-around good man, a fixture at several area clubs, and Purgatory in particular. He will be missed.

John was a longtime resident of Brookline. He had many interests including rebuilding antique snowmobiles. John was a member of the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association, Icebreaker Snowmobile Club where he was the current vice president, Merrimack SnoBuds, Pioneer Sportsman Club, Purgatory Falls Fish & Game where he was a charter member and the Pemi Valley Fish & Game. He was also a past member of the Snow Geese, Puckerbrush Pounders Snowmobile Club and the Wilton Wanderers Snowmobile Club.

I knew John, he introduced me to the sport of metallic silhouette. A nice guy, he will be missed.

I knew John for over 25 years and shot NH silhouette with him at many different clubs in NH, Maine, NY and Penn. He was one of a kind, very talented as a jack-of-all-trades craftsman. He was especially good at grabbing someone who was watching a silhouette shoot and getting them to try it. This past year he has been very ill with cancer and it appears that he was unable to handle the chemo and it lowered his resistance to fight off the pneumonia that finally got him. This world will not be as nice or the shooting sports not as interesting without him. He was one heck of a marksman as well. He will be sorely missed by the NH silhouette people. He was Mr. Silhouette!
