Hey guys,
I was given a Rossi Single shot rifle in .243 as a gift. Its essentially a single action rifle as you have to cock the hammer for each shot. It came with a scope and a hammer extension on it.
My problem is that i took it out for the first time the other day and experienced some frequent light strikes on it.
I was using both Remmington and Winchester ammo in it and had problems with both. The problem cartriges failed to fire after a second time through also.
The firing pin seems to be fine so im wondering if the problem is either the hammer extension or a under powered hammer spring.
Does anyone have any experiene with this rifle or this problem.
