Good evening everyone. New to the forum so first I want to say hi and thanks for letting in the group. I have a stock Ruger 10/22 that I want to change out the body to something along the lines of the Gungner or ATI conversion

What I'm unsure of is the law and what can and can't be done in Massachusetts. First off am I able to change out the chassis for something along these lines? Also from what I've read the .22lr is exempt from the "assault weapon" labeling so would I be able to add a pistol grip and fixed stock to this conversion?
I have searched before posting this but came up empty. I appreciate any info or help anyone has. Thanks, Jeff
