Per request (Hanwei) to test the ruger 10/22 TD on his concern. I head out to range late night, so I'm limited on the range distance.
Range : MRA Loeb range (indoor 25 yards)
Condition : indoor
Ammo : CCI blazer, CCI mini mag & Winchester 333 bulkpack .22lr
Round fired : 150+
Problem : none
Shooting position : Standing (rest on bench)
Ruger 10/22 TD
First 10 rds shots (CCI Blazer)
Takedown the barrel and reinstalled. Shoot 10 rds on new target. (CCI Blazer)
Repeat 2x barrel takedown, reinstall and fire 10rds shots on same target. (CCI Blazer)
Judging from the result, I'm safe to say the rifle stock sight do return to zero after takedown. Let me know if you agreed or disagreed my report.
I'm very satisfied with the rifle, but want to have a 10/22 showdown. So, I introduced 2 more 10/22 rifle to the challenge. Let me introduced the 3 showdown candidates.
1. Ruger 10/22 Volquartsen (heavy mod with Volquartsen goodies and crappy tasco 3x9x40 scope)
2. Ruger 10/22 LTR (diy mod with techsight)
3. Ruger 10/22 TD (stock)
10 shots grouping @ 25 yards. (CCI Blazer)
Left to right 10/22 TD, 10/22 LTR, 10/22 Volquartsen
Obviously, the Volquartsen mod 10/22 is a tackdriver and win the challenges. Both 10/22 LTR and 10/22 TD are competing neck-to-neck and very close.
I'm guessing it's getting late and my brain slow down tremendously. I concluded my finding on the new ruger 10/22 TD. I hope my finding do help you choose your next 10/22 rifle.
