I was wondering if anyone has experience shooting both of the ruger 22LR single action revolvers: The Ruger new bearcat and the ruger single six single ten.

The new bearcat seems to resemble the style of a colt SAA while the single ten is newer with 10 rounds, fiberoptic sight, much heavier, etc. But how are both to shoot?

I'm leaning more towards the new bearcat for its looks and small size. I've always wanted a single action revolver for fun shooting (nothing serious).

I don't have any first-hand shooting experience with either, but I can tell you from first-hand fondling that the Bearcat is small. Probably less of an issue for .22, but it's practically a 1/2 scale Colt SAA.

My friend has a single six in .22lr I think it's like the convertible model or something, not the new one. Still pretty fun.

The Bearcat is really small. I would go for a single six. I've had a few including the vaquero. You usually can't swing a dead cat without hitting a good used one in a gun shop.

I have a Single Six in Stainless with both 22lr and 22mag cylinders. It's got a 5.5" barrel. Everyone should have one. It's great fun. Having the option to shoot 22mag is just icing on the cake. I gave one up once... but, only so I could get this one. I don't think I could ever give up this one.
