I bought one of these today anyone got any opinions on it? Also I just got my LTC-A in MA and the transaction was delayed. Has that ever happened to anyone?

I hate being that guy, but have you done any searching or even just looking around at all? there must be dozens of threads on both the LC9 and delays.

When I went to buy my first gun this January, I had just received my LTC-A unrestricted just an hour before. I was at Four Seasons buying my SR9c and they said my LTC was not valid. I told them it was and I just got it. I had to call my PD and ask them what happened and after an hour of waiting, they said it had not been activated yet. I was pissed but they did activate it and I got my nice Ruger.

The LC9 is a great 9mm, but I found the trigger to be way too long and did not feel like getting a trigger job done. People get the trigger job and love the gun. It is reliable and very concealable. It's a Ruger so you can count on it being a great firearm. Have fun with it.

Good guns. A little jerky for my taste, but it's my BUG or pocket unit. Great in cargo pants, top pocket. No printing at all. Get the pinky extension on the mag though. I find the gun to be barely usable without it.

I had one but sold it due to the loooong trigger pull. I liked it otherwise for it's size and weight, a good tradeoff for concealed carry. I have heard good things about getting the trigger pull shortened with a custom trigger job, but I decided on something else in 9mm instead.

I have one and like it. I sent my hammer and trigger bar off to Galloway for modifications. It makes a big difference in the length of the trigger pull. I shot a few hundred rounds before the mods, and was pretty accurate with it, and a couple of hundred after the mods. My teenage kids said they hated shooting it before, but they are much better with it after.

I also removed the magazine interlock when I first got it. It's easy to do, there are some good youtube videos to show you how.

I actually shoot mine better without the pinky extension. I carry it with the flat floorplate, and keep a spare magazine with the pinky extension in my pocket, but I haven't found that the extension helps my shooting at all.

I think it's a good gun, especially for the money. I got mine when it was on sale for $329, and I just couldn't justify the added cost for a Kahr, which I really wanted.

Oh, and I get delayed about 75% of the time that I buy a gun. I expect it now, so if it doesn't happen I feel like I won a prize.

Good luck

I did put a Laserlyte side-mounted laser on mine. I had to wait for a cloudy day to be able to get it zeroed at the outdoor range. It doesn't change the weight, grip, or concealability of the gun, and I figured it was better to have it and not need it.

I had one for a short time. Went back to Ruger twice. The second time because the firing pin fell out. They sent a replacement which I promptly trade for a Walther PPS. I'm sure my experience is an exception.

so I take it the rumor about them being taken off the approved roster is false?

Someone here reported a conversation with Ruger customer service saying that complaints about the trigger have prompted them to re-design the pistol and that it is no-longer MA approved.

How do these compare to the KelTec PF9 in size and price? (I think the PF9 is around $330 or so)

I love my PF9. Has gone bang every time. They actually run more like $260 if you look around here (NH). May be higher in Mass. KTP has them sometimes.

I've gotten delayed ever time that I've purshased a firearm. I've had my class A ltc since 2004! I just picked up an LC9 from fourseasons last week. I havent been to the range yet. I'm trying to sell the laser max that came with it if anyone is interested?

Delayed, cant you get a federal pin number that is supposed to help with this. Also useing your social on the form any help. My gut feeling is Delay= We here at atf just really dont want to deal right now.....we are putting to gether a lunch order ?
